 Limited Alleviation of Moratorium on Posts for 2010 / 2011A limited alleviation of the moratorium on filling vacant Assistant Principal posts for the 2010 / 2011 school year was announced by the Tanaiste & Minister for Education & Skills on Monday, 5 July The limited alleviation is "focused on those schools that are acutely affected at Assistant Principal level" by the moratorium.
The moratorium will continue to apply on the filling of Special Duties posts, including any vacancies that arise as a result of promotions to AP posts under the alleviation arrangements.
