10:00-11:00 Mental Health Triage: This seminar aims to challenge the belief that only school counsellors have exclusive responsibility for identifying and triaging mental health issues in students. Instead, the seminar emphasises the importance of school leadership teams in actively supporting mental health by participating in professional development. This approach shifts the responsibility of mental health from just counsellors to the entire school staff, creating a larger network of support. Elaine Ryan and Julia Roddy share their thoughts on a pilot seminar held at Clarin College.

Finally, arising from a Strategic Review of NAPD and subsequent Statement of Strategy the development, and enhancement of the operation of the Regions has been identified as a key strategic action. It is hoped that this will improve deeper professional collaboration and nurture professional networks thereby providing topical and relevant professional development opportunities for members. To this end, Paul Crone kindly requests that all Region 2 members participate in the following short survey in advance of our Regional gathering: https://forms.office.com/r/Y3S176aeBV
