NAPD Local Support Services (LSS)
The Local Support Service (LSS) has been in existence since 2010 and is made up of recently retired members, spread throughout the regions, who are available to be of assistance and support to principals and deputies. Its main objective is to provide a safe and confidential place for any principal or deputy, new or not so new, to voice their concerns. Any member is free to contact any LSS person of their choice from the list below.
They attend regional meetings, and in recent years they have had a very prominent role at Annual Conference in assisting new members to integrate, through being present at registration, hosting a reception for new members and being available to lend a listening ear.
Most of them also act as facilitators for the Deputy Principal mentoring scheme, for further information please contact Michael McCann.
