Our remit is to examine and quantify the workload involved with a view to finding possible ways of positively addressing the issues of concern
NAPD is your organisation and its core mission is to support Principals and Deputy Principals in their role as school leaders. Recently the general issue of workload and the overload created in embedding multiple new education initiatives, legislative, administrative and financial changes have been discussed by our members. To this end, NAPD is exploring the issues of workload, recruitment, and retention of school leaders with the blessing of the Minister. Our remit is to examine and quantify the workload involved with a view to finding possible ways of positively addressing the issues of concern. In this way, we hope to enable Principals and Deputy Principals to focus more on the core business of leading learning and teaching.
In order to collect and collate meaningful accurate data to direct this process, we are working in collaboration with Assistant Professors Dr. Paula Kinnarney and Dr. Jolanta Burke of Maynooth University who have developed a survey for NAPD members. We are aware of how valuable your time is to you so this survey will take no more than 10 to 15 minutes to complete. We respectfully ask you to take the time to complete this survey as the greater the number of respondents the more complete and compelling the data collected. Please click on the link below to complete the survey before 12.30 on Wednesday 8th January;
Thank you for your cooperation.
