Trip to the Inishowen Peninsula - NAPDR

Following the last two years’ highly successful and very enjoyable trips to the Inishowen Peninsula, Anthony Doogan, Chair NAPDR,  has kindly issued an invitation for a return visit this year to coincide with Féile na hInse  from April 24th to 26th.

Féile na hInse 2026 is hosted by the Inishowen Traditional Music Project and presents a weekend of events to celebrate the music, song and dance of the renowned Dinny Mc Laughlin (1935 - 2024) who devoted his life to the cultural heritage of Inishowen and has left a remarkable cultural legacy.

The exciting range of performances and activities is detailed at their website

Anthony has organised very keen rates for NAPDR for this event at the Inishowen Gateway Hotel, Buncrana.

The negotiated rates are:

2 nights Bed & Breakfast with 1 Dinner: €370 in per twin room or €325 per single room.

3 nights Bed & Breakfast with 1 Dinner: €485 per twin room or €420 per single room.

Full complimentary use of leisure facilities

If you plan to attend, please book directly with the hotel (074 936114) quoting NAPDR or Anthony Doogan and advise Anthony at anthonydoogan@donegaletb.ie.

I suggest that you book the hotel as soon as possible to avail of the rates Anthony has negotiated

Tickets for events may be booked independently at Inishowenmusic.ie.

It promises to be a wonderful weekend.

Look forward to seeing you there

All the very best,

Tim Geraghty

NAPDR Spring Lunch

NAPDR Spring Lunch

The first event of 2025 organised by NAPDR is the Spring Lunch in Dublin on Wednesday February 12th.

Custom House guided tour 11am, followed by lunch in the 1592 restaurant in Trinity College Dublin 1pm.

Google maps suggest the Restaurant is 650m/750m from the Custom House, depending on the route taken.

I think that there are three elements to the Dublin Spring lunch; first of all the tour, second the lovely meal and third (possibly most important ), the opportunity to link up with colleagues/friends.

€50

This covers the guide at the Custom House, 3 course meal, including tea/coffee and tips.
